What is a sun cape?

Zazou® is a super cape, not because it’s for superheroes, but because it has the super-power to protect your skin from UV rays when you need it the most.

It is made of UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) fabric and the sun’s radiation cannot pass through it. It blocks 98% of the sun’s rays, UVA and UVB, no matter if the clothes are wet or dry.

The high-tech, non-chemically treated fabric has been laboratory tested and certified to the strictest protocols for sun protection by the AATCC and AS/NZS standards. The result is intrinsic natural protection, and a labelled category of UPF50+ “Excellent UV protection”.

How is it designed?

Designed for children to play and enjoy themselves comfortably and safely in the sun. Zazou® is a unique, different and original garment. It´s fun, comfortable, versatile, eco-friendly and it is patented as a utility model.

The cape has cuffs/mittens, which allow the garment to be fixed on the body and shoulders, leaving absolute freedom of movement,while protecting the torso, neckline, shoulders, arms and hands (parts of the body very susceptible to premature ageing of the skin) from the sun’s rays.

The children’s layer also has a removable hood. It is cool, light, extra soft and warm.

They will want to wear it all the time!

The cape is not a swimming garment, even though it can get wet and dry fast, it was designed for the times of the day when we are not in water.

How to use it?

It is designed to be used in the central hours of the day from 12.00h to 16.00h, when the WHO (World Health Organization) recommendations are to cover yourself from ultraviolet radiation. You can put it on and take it off as often as you like, roll it up and store it in its own bag. It will fit in your handbag and you can take it everywhere you go. The fabric does not wrinkle and the cape will be in perfect condition for you to put it on again whenever you want.

You can wear the cape everywhere: on the beach (walking, playing on the shore or racket and ball), at the beach bar, in the street, in the countryside, sightseeing, in the park, at the terrace of a restaurant… or if you’re cold! When you take it off, put it in its little bag, it’s as easy as that!
