The magic of the “Golden Hour

Today I want to tell you about golden hour, without a doubt, my favorite time of the day. Stay a few minutes, read on... I assure you that you will love it.

THE INSTANT WHERE EVERYTHING BECOMES MAGICAL

There is something special about natural light, but nothing compares to the golden hour. golden hour.

That ephemeral lapse in which the sun slowly descends towards the horizon, enveloping the world in warm, soft and golden tones. The shadows lengthen, the sky dresses in yellows, pinks and oranges, and everything that this light touches is transformed into something sublime and overwhelming…

…It is the right time to face the sun, to undress in front of it and play with the multiple reflections that the sky and the sea create as they merge with the sand of the beach.

Next to sunrise, the golden hour, is the safest time to expose ourselves to sunlight and enjoy that soft, comforting warmth that doesn’t burn or damage the skin. Then, we have license to shed our UPF garments and put them away until the next day.

A GIFT FOR PHOTOGRAPHY

In addition to being a unique moment to enjoy the sun, the golden hour is a paradise for photography. Those who know me know that my camera goes everywhere with me. It is almost an extension of myself.

With it, I keep track of everything around me. Often simple things, things that go unnoticed. Situations, places, seemingly inert objects that suddenly come to life for an instant, revealing their mysteries and secrets. Among all the things I photograph, my two children are, without a doubt, my greatest inspiration. With them, I realize how fast-paced life is. The frenetic pace at which they live, grow, learn and escape from us, makes it seem as if the world is spinning much faster…

The magic hour is the perfect setting to capture that transience. That’s why I encourage you to get a camera this vacation season, or a good cell phone, and become a silent observer.

Don’t interfere, just capture. Take pictures of your summer. Lots of pictures. Over the years, you’ll be thankful you have them. It doesn’t matter if you’re an expert or an amateur photographer, photography is all about experimentation. You learn by doing. So take the plunge. I assure you that, once you start, you will see the world in a totally different way.
